I am a big convert about the effect staging has on buyers for two primary reasons. First, with the advent of HGTV, buyers (especially younger ones) expect the home to look like a model home; anything short looks too “lived-in”. Second, when you walk into a home with just a few things on the kitchen and bath counters and with personal items edited out, you feel like you are living clutter free; translating to “I am living the good life”. Staging has an emotional effect that enhances the highlights of your home. It does not replace a good cleaning/painting/updating as these things are also critical. Yep, professional staging is expensive, but worth it in many cases. If staging is not for you, we can work together to try to achieve the same or similar results.
